Gala Screened Separable Connectors and Touch proof terminations are designed to connect single and three core polymeric cables to medium voltage switchgear and other equipment using bushings type "C" specified for 630A upto 24kV. Made of a highly modified EPDM rubber and protected by a touch proof outer conductive screen connected to earth

Supporting a wide application range of Touch proof terminations, the design incorporates one body and stress cone adapters to cover all cross section from 25 - 400 sq.mm. All kits include high-performance multi range compression lugs matching the design of the design of the connector.

Heat Shrink Coupler is a Tubing used for jointing the posttensioning ducts to ensure leak tightness of connections between two consecutive portion of duct.

These tubes are manufactured from high quality Cross-linked Polyolefin material. Hot melt adhesive lining provides 100% sealing according to IP 68 (Ingress Protection). Heat Shrink Couplers ensure a tight seal around the pre-stressing duct connections.

Heat Shrink GVOT Sleeve is manufactured from High Quality Cross-linked polyolefin material. It is used to protect cables or similar substrates in areas of extreme environmental conditions and high electrical stress. The tubing protects substrates from erosion caused by leakage current. The sealant provides a moisture proof environmental seal to the substrate. The tubing is normally used as an integral part of Gala Cable Terminations for voltages above 1 kV.

Non Shrinkable High Voltage Tape

Gala Non Shrinkable Insulation Tape is an EPR based insulation tape possessing excellent electrical, chemical and physical properties. it maintains a tight insulation built up without any voids giving good electrical stability and sresistance to moisture penetration. Compatible with most commonly used Cable Jackets i.e. XLPE, PVC, PILC or Rubber Sheathed Cable.

  • The tape has the property of cold flow, thereby when applied with 50% overlap, different layers, sticks with each other resulting into formation of void free insulation.
  • Excellent resistance moisture, contamination and adverse environmental conditions.
  • Excellent UV stabilized & weather resistant.
  • High heat dissipation helps to keep the conductor cooler.
  • Provides protection to the conductor material against corrosive elements present in the environment.

  1. Keep open end of the tape on the start position of the cable to be insulated and then stretch the tape so as to reduce the width to 2/3 of its original width and then start wrapping 2/3 width tape with 50% overlap continuously around the cable till no portion is left uninsulated. Then repeat the taping process till the desired insulation & thickness is achieved.
  2. The tape should be applied in successive half lapped, level wound layers until desired build up is reached. To eliminate voids in critical areas, highly elongate the tape. Stretch the tape in these critical area just short of its breaking point. In less critical area, less elongation is sufficient. Stretch 3/4 of its original width in less critical area.
  3. Always attempt to half lap to produce a uniform build up.
  1. Care should be taken to avoid direct contact betweenthe tape and petroleum type solvents and oils. Oils may affect the electrical properties of the tape.
  2. The rolls should be stored flat on their cut edges in theoriginal packaging. The product must be protected dust, heat, moisture, direct sunlight and solvent fumes. Storage temperature between +100C and +300C. Under these conditions, the storage life of the tape in a temperature climate will be at least five years.
